Accessibility
Showtime Daily is for every Lakers fan. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and we test the site against them.
What that means here
- Keyboard: everything works without a mouse. A "Skip to the content" link comes first, and the item you are on is always outlined.
- Screen readers: pages are organised with headings and labelled regions, the scoreboard reads each game in full ("New York Knicks 96, Philadelphia 76ers 99, 4th Quarter"), tables have captions, and links that open a new tab say so.
- Motion: the scoreboard has a pause button, and pauses while you point at it. If your device is set to reduce motion, it doesn't move at all.
- Reading: text meets WCAG contrast levels, colour is never the only way information is shown, and pages work zoomed to 400% or on a narrow phone without scrolling sideways.
- Touch: links and buttons are large enough to tap comfortably.
Known limits
Headlines link to other publishers' sites, which we don't control. Live scores refresh quietly every 30 seconds rather than being read aloud, so they never interrupt what you are reading.
Tell us
If anything on Showtime Daily is hard to use, we want to fix it. Write to hello@showtimedaily.com and say which page and what got in the way.
